Rick Joyner: Sound the Alarm

One of the greatest revivals of all time began at Azusa Street in Los Angeles in 1906. The wretched former stable burned so brightly with the glory of God that for a time it was called "the second most famous address in the world." God can do it again, and will, if we want it enough.

Every revival in history seems to be the result of a few people becoming so hungry for God that they wanted Him more than oxygen. Those who have such hunger will not be denied. It's time to seek a revival that becomes the most famous address in the world. It's time to seek a move of God that won't quit moving.

I've seen in visions and dreams the destruction that is destined, especially on our West Coast. This has caused some to say that I have a hatred for our West Coast, which is not true, but rather the opposite. I really can't help what I dream, and though a psycho analyst might say it is the result of deep feelings, I know these are prophetic dreams. They never leave me pleased, but rather I'm grieved enough to take all of the heat for sharing them with the hope that people will listen, repent, and they will not have to come true.

I've also seen the harvest that is coming at the end of this age. Why can't the destruction be preempted by revival? If God saved wicked Nineveh with the preaching of Jonah, would He not save the potential millions who could be lost in impending disasters? We have the sure testimony of Scripture that He would much rather do this.

So why doesn't He? He's waiting for those to arise who will lay down their own lives and agendas to become the intercessors He must have. He's waiting for preachers to arise who are willing to stand against any amount of scorn, ridicule, or persecution to declare God's truth, righteousness, and justice without compromise. He is willing. Are we?

The Lord lit the fire on the altars of His tabernacle in the wilderness and the temple in Jerusalem. He then commanded the priests to keep these fires going. Likewise, only God can start an authentic revival, but only man can end it by not keeping the fire going. For this to be done, there must be an underlying hunger for God and willingness on the part of His people to sacrifice their own purposes to give themselves for His purposes.

In 1987 I had a two-and-a-half-day prophetic experience in which I was shown a panorama of coming events that I wrote about in my book titled, The Harvest. Most of what I saw coming has now taken place, but the biggest event of all, the harvest that was at the end of the age, has not. It is now approaching.

Jesus said, "The harvest is the end of the age" (see Matthew 13:39). This will be the greatest ingathering of new Believers in history, greater than all the previous ones combined. In my vision, this came in two great waves. The first wave was the largest up until this time, but it was only the ingathering of those who were called to be the laborers in the coming even much greater one.

This first wave began shortly after I was given this vision and lasted for almost twenty years. During that time more people came to Christ around the world than had come to Him in all of history up until that time. Some estimates were that an average of almost four hundred thousand people a day were coming to Christ during its peak. There were countries where people were being born again faster than they were being born. Hundreds of millions came to Christ in Africa, South and Central America, and Asia.

Though this wave hardly seemed to touch North America and Europe, they provided many of the evangelists and workers for the other great revivals around the world, and their time is coming. I then saw a period of relative calm before the greatest of all moves of God began. We are near the end of that time and are about to be hit by a wave of revival like the earth has never seen before.

Many of the mistakes that have devalued the spiritual currency of prophetic ministry have come from the failure to distinguish between the calling and the commissioning. As we see in the Book of Acts, Paul was called as an apostle many years before he was commissioned to that ministry. Estimates of how long it was between Paul's calling and his commissioning range between eight and fourteen years. It is clear in Acts and from Paul's letters that this time was spent in preparation, and that during this time, he ministered as a prophet, or a teacher, or both.

If you are wondering whether you have been commissioned yet, then you haven't. When the real thing happens, it will be clear, and you will know that it came from God and not just men. Until then, we are in training, and the more significant our calling is, the more intense and usually longer and harder our training will be.

Each prophet in Scripture was unique. There are common factors, but the Lord who made every snowflake different loves diversity, and He relates to all of His people in a unique and personal way. For this reason, we may never exactly copy anyone else. We can learn from others, but must focus on the Lord, beholding His glory and being changed into His image, if we are to become who we are created to be.

The Year of the Ox, The Year of the Eagle, The Year of the Lion and the Year of the Man

I think many of you have heard me share about what started in '09 with the year of the ox; and '09 was a very tough plowing year. I'm coming out of Ezekiel 1, which is a prophecy that He gave me. So '09, the ox plowed all year not knowing why. '10 is the year of the eagle, so every one of you have got all the seed you ever need to sow. You should sow it every place you go; re-sow it in your family, re-sow it in restaurants, re-sow it in churches, and re-sow it every place you go, for your seed will never run out.

I've noticed that some seeds that I sowed 30 or 35 years ago looked like they were never going to sprout, but in the last year these people that I sowed it into have come to salvation. So once you sow the seed of God, it whirls around people in this earth forever – so sow it. It may lay under the clod for many, many years, but things will take place in peoples' lives before that seed gets alive; so don't quit sowing, don't get discouraged, keep going.

The Year of the Eagle will end on September the 10th, for I go with the Lord's calendar, which the Jews claim is theirs; but it's really not theirs, it's the Lord's. On September the 10th, the New Year begins. It's the Year of the Lion, so it's time that the Lion begins to roar. When the lion roars, he roars into the earth; he doesn't roar into the air, he roars into the earth. He says, "This is my territory," and the vibrations will go out for miles and miles.

Randy Cutter: What's Up With Cuba?

Cuba has been isolated from the United States for over fifty years since Fidel Castro and his regime took over the Cuban government. Since Castro’s earliest years, Cuban Americans have longed for the day when his dictatorial regime fades into history. Over the years they have done what they could do to shorten Castro’s days, with no real success.

To this day, Cuban Americans look with longing for the day when Cuba will be free. Many Cuban Christians have prayed for the day when Cuba once again opens its doors, not only to freedom, but also to the free proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. That day may soon be upon us.

In November of 2004, the Lord spoke to me about Cuba. He did it through a dream in which I was listening to a conversation about Cuba and savings bonds. The gist of the dream was that Cuban savings bonds were worth nothing in the United States. However, if you invested eight dollars in a U.S. savings bond, you would get ten dollars back. When I woke up from the dream, I recorded it on a memo recorder, and added that I understood that the Lord was showing me that Cuba would open up in seven years.

Rick Joyner: Maturing in the Prophetic

Rick Joyner

The Purpose of Prophecy

We have begun to discuss the levels of prophetic revelation from impressions to being caught up into Heaven such as Paul and John did in the New Testament. Generally, it makes sense that the more dramatic, or high level the revelation, the more important it is. Others seem to think that the more high level the revelation, the greater the ministry of the prophet, but neither of these may be the case. We have learned that the level of revelation is more related to the difficulty of the task than to the importance of the revelation or the level of the authority of the prophet. For this reason, when we go through seasons of not receiving much revelation, especially what we are calling high-level revelation, we should learn to be content, and use these times for sinking our roots deeper into sound Biblical truth, searching the Scriptures.

As the prophecies of the end times all make clear, as we get closer to the end of the age, the difficulties will be increasing. This is why we see in Joel 2 and Acts 2 that in the last days the level of prophetic revelation will likewise be increasing. In these difficulties, we do need more clear guidance.

This week we will study the prophetic gifts and how they work in us. When we do, many will realize that they have been working in them, but did not understand them. Even so, this is not a science but a relationship. We are listening to a Person, not just learning formulas and procedures.

Prophecy Works Through Friendship with God

In Amos 3:7 we are told, "Surely the Lord GOD does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets." There is nowhere in the Law that the Lord obligated Himself to do this, but He does it because He does not want to do anything without sharing it with His friends, which is the basic essence of prophetic ministry – friendship with God. The prophets are those who have become so close to God that He does not want to do anything without sharing it with them.

Greetings friends,

I trust this first communication of 2011 finds you encouraged and vigorously contending for personal and corporate destiny. That certainly is the mandate we feel emphasized for the season.

For us, the last few months of 2010 were filled with many encouraging indications that we are entering a time of profound spiritual conflict and outpouring with the "sons of light" emerging with substantial anointing and authority.

It is the issue of spiritual authority that is being emphasized the most. The radical remnant will discover great authority in their words, decrees and proclamations as we prophesy our future and shape the destiny of this generation through spiritual impartation. Numbers 11 was given to me as a Biblical outline to emphasize the Spirit being taken from one to anoint many. It will be as it was in the days of Moses when the Lord's Spirit was also placed upon the 70 elders to help provide legitimate leadership to a needy nation.

This coming year the goal of our study is to be able to discern the voice of the Lord better, first for our own guidance, but also in the unfolding events of our times. Nothing is more important for us to do this year than to love God more and follow Him more closely. Only then can we love each other the way that we are called to love.

As we have learned with so many prophetically-gifted people in our church and ministry, if they will inquire of the Lord about a person, He will show them things that can help them. If they inquire of the Lord about a city, He will show them things about the city that can help it. The same is true for a church or a nation, a ministry, a mission, an industry, and so forth. It is the same gift of the Holy Spirit that reveals all of these things. Even so, after a time, prophetic people will often start to specialize in hearing God for individuals, or for churches, cities, nations, etc.

Many Christians believe that we cannot understand the times because Jesus said that no man knows the hour in which He will return (see Matthew 24:36). Even though it is true that we do not know the time of His return, we can still know the times, and in fact we must. I Thessalonians 5:1-4 says:

"Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.

"While they are saying, 'Peace and safety!' then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

"But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief."
