"The Synergy of the Generations"

Written by Lawrence Zolnowski

"The Synergy of the Generations"

James W. Goll, Franklin, TN

If the Church hopes to be relevant and meet the needs of the twenty-first century and beyond, it must be willing to undergo a paradigm shift. The Elijah to Elisha Revolution confronts the status quo by challenging the Church to reexamine many of its assumptions. One of these assumptions is what could be called the "quick escape mentality."

For over a century many Believers have been taught that the end-times are near and to expect Christ to take His Church at any moment. This teaching has been especially prevalent in parts of the evangelical and Pentecostal branches of the Church. Whether or not this interpretation of prophecy is accurate is not my primary point. What is important is the influence it has had on the mind-set of the Church.

One positive result of the "rapture mentality" is that it has created in many Christians a sense of urgency with regard to evangelism and missions. If Christ could return "any day," then there is no time to lose in telling others about Jesus. On the other hand, this same mentality can have the unfortunate consequence of discouraging long-term planning. If everything is about to come to an end anyway, why focus on the future?

James W. GollThe Center of Quiet

Following is an excerpt from the study guide Consecrated Contemplative Prayer.

Five Ingredients of the Contemplative-Meditative State

A. Biblical Exhortation Concerning Physical Calm

1. Hebrews 4:9-11
There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For he who has entered into His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

2. Hebrews 3:18-19
And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient? So we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.

Randy Cutter: Revival Tides Are Rising

Written by Lawrence Zolnowski

Back in May of 2010 a prophetic friend got a word for me. That word was that the tide of grace was coming in. His actual words were, “I heard the Lord say, ‘The tide is rising and it’s the tide of grace and great grace.’” He added, “It’s almost like in the past we could push so far and the tide comes so far and then it goes back and it just never quite breaks through.  It just never quite overtakes the boundary that we’re used to. I saw the Lord remove that boundary.”

The reason this word is important is that it wasn’t just for me, and it is a now word.

When my prophetic friend gave that word, he called me forward as the first one he saw it for in the room, but he saw it for everyone in the room. We were all part of the same ministry stream, but I believe the application spills beyond our stream to those who have experienced the same type of thing.

I also believe this is a now word. It is for this time. Let me tell you why I believe this.

My congregation is holding a regional conference next week. Rick Joyner, from MorningStar Ministries will be here, as well as other leaders in our ministry stream (information is available at www.revivaltides.com). When I was casting around for a name for the conference, I did not remember the prophetic word I received back in 2010. I was seeking a title to the conference that would encapsulate what the Lord was saying. I felt a release of grace was coming that would help revive us, but when I began to think of conference titles with the word revival in it, it seemed like all the good ones had been taken. Then the Lord dropped Revival Tides into my spirit, and I named the conference the Revival Tides Are Rising conference. I was happy I had found our conference name.

What Is the Song of the Lord?

In a general sense, all worship sung to music is the song of the Lord. Different terms are often used to describe the same or similar expressions of this creative musical art form: "a new song," a "prophetic song," as well as a song of (or to) the Lord. Many times, such songs spring up spontaneously at first, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and they remain songs of the Lord even after being written down and sung over and over. If you add the word "prophetic" to the phrase, it indicates that the song of the Lord has taken on a prophetic voice, speaking of the future and what God wants to do in the midst of the people or a relevant message from His heart in the "now."

It pierces through the crust of religion and brings God into the present tense. The words of these precious songs of the Lord can represent the Lord singing to His people as well as His people singing songs of praise to Him. The book of Psalms contains many songs of the Lord, as do other books of the Bible. Here's a good example from the book of Zephaniah:

"Sing, Daughter Zion; shout aloud, Israel!
Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem!
The Lord has taken away your punishment, He has turned back your enemy.
The Lord, the King of Israel, is with you; never again will you fear any harm.
On that day they will say to Jerusalem,
"Do not fear, Zion; do not let your hands hang limp.
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing."

Zephaniah 3:14–17, NIV

Other earlier Scriptural songs that have been recorded for us include the song of Moses (the first recorded song of the Lord) in Exodus 15:1–19, the song of Miriam in Exodus 15:20, the lengthy second song of Moses in Deuteronomy 31:19–22, 30; 32:1–43, and the song of Israel at the well in Numbers 21:16–18 ("Spring up, O well!"). We have another song of victory in the duet singing of Deborah and Barak concerning Jael and Sisera (see the entire fifth chapter of Judges).

Yes, the Bible is filled with songs and more songs. The book of Job declares that the morning stars were singing (see Job 38:4–7) and the book of Jonah mentions a song of thanksgiving (see Jonah 2:9).

Recently Bob audibly heard the Father say, "The Church determines which way this nation is going. If the Church does nothing, we do nothing. But if the Church does something; we do everything!"

Bob believes that if the Church doesn't wake up and vote then the Lord will do nothing. The Church will go to sleep and some may never wake up. The Lord has given the Church all authority. If the Church doesn't begin to exercise its authority then its power becomes invalid and the enemy will have his way instead of the Church.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

Our free will is involved in this matter and it determines which way this nation is going. The dedicated Christians must get up and vote! Christians have the say and the Lord will agree with them because He has given them all authority.

You will make your prayer to Him, and He will hear you, and you will pay your vows. You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God's favor] shall shine upon your ways. Job 22:27-28

If we don't speak out against unrighteousness then injustice will reign. By doing nothing, we actually vote for unrighteousness. We need to do something! We need to exercise our constitutional rights and vote in this election. Clearly the choice is ours!

Leap Forward! An Army Arising! Stress is Being Removed-Praise will Lead you Forth! (by Chuck Pierce, Anne Tate, and Keith Pierce)

We are in a season of warfare. Remember, in this week of warfare we are giving thanks three times each day (morning, noon and night) so that Lord Sabaoth can release the Hosts of Heaven to war on our behalf. Allow praise to prepare your new pathway! The prophetic word that came forward on Sunday morning was:

"I have a new way for you to leap over that which has been in front of you, a new way for you to go over and into that next phase that I have called you into. I have a new way. I have a new horse for you to ride. It is not the horse of the flesh but the ruling white horse of My Spirit. Get ready to mount up, for I have an army that is not confused. I have an army that I am mobilizing. I have a team of warriors that will now win the war! I am releasing royal horses of war, royal horses that have been prepared for the day of battle. They are made of My invisible, invincible power which is holiness. If you will mount up on My royal war horses you will move with power and distinction. You will be audacious in the victories you will win as I blow My wind over you.

"Today is a day that I am opening the heavens in a new way to heal and prepare My people for war, that they may arise and come on the power of My horse that I sent. I have come this day to heal the adrenal glands in this body. I have come this day to balance out the chemicals inside the thyroid. I have come this day to remove the panic that has laid and embraced in the soul because I am releasing from an oppressing connection and I am tying it to My Spirit this hour. I am REMOVING STRESS that would weaken you as you go forth for Me in days ahead.

"Praise Me seven days to be released from the anxiety and stress that have held you captive! Seven days of praise this week - morning, noon and night. Seven days of praise! For I am shifting you and setting your boat upright. These next seven days I am going to give you revelation over blood flow and strokes. I am going to heal how you got bruised in last season. I am going to remove reproaches off of you that have been hanging on to you. I'm going to do a new thing in you.

Rick Joyner: Sound the Alarm

Written by Lawrence Zolnowski

One of the greatest revivals of all time began at Azusa Street in Los Angeles in 1906. The wretched former stable burned so brightly with the glory of God that for a time it was called "the second most famous address in the world." God can do it again, and will, if we want it enough.

Every revival in history seems to be the result of a few people becoming so hungry for God that they wanted Him more than oxygen. Those who have such hunger will not be denied. It's time to seek a revival that becomes the most famous address in the world. It's time to seek a move of God that won't quit moving.

I've seen in visions and dreams the destruction that is destined, especially on our West Coast. This has caused some to say that I have a hatred for our West Coast, which is not true, but rather the opposite. I really can't help what I dream, and though a psycho analyst might say it is the result of deep feelings, I know these are prophetic dreams. They never leave me pleased, but rather I'm grieved enough to take all of the heat for sharing them with the hope that people will listen, repent, and they will not have to come true.

I've also seen the harvest that is coming at the end of this age. Why can't the destruction be preempted by revival? If God saved wicked Nineveh with the preaching of Jonah, would He not save the potential millions who could be lost in impending disasters? We have the sure testimony of Scripture that He would much rather do this.

So why doesn't He? He's waiting for those to arise who will lay down their own lives and agendas to become the intercessors He must have. He's waiting for preachers to arise who are willing to stand against any amount of scorn, ridicule, or persecution to declare God's truth, righteousness, and justice without compromise. He is willing. Are we?

The Lord lit the fire on the altars of His tabernacle in the wilderness and the temple in Jerusalem. He then commanded the priests to keep these fires going. Likewise, only God can start an authentic revival, but only man can end it by not keeping the fire going. For this to be done, there must be an underlying hunger for God and willingness on the part of His people to sacrifice their own purposes to give themselves for His purposes.

Julia C. LorenIn recent weeks, I have felt God's heart of compassion for those in their 30s to 60s who are burned out, stressed out and have never realized their dreams. If that is you, know that you are very dear to God's heart and His eyes are focused on you. The Lord impressed upon me that it is time for a "quickening anointing" to be released. Imparting that "quickening anointing" is part of my mandate in this year. Wherever I minister, this is the message and the impartation: "It is time to step into a fresh baptism of God's love that will reawaken, revive and restore your anointing." The great awakening to the fresh baptism of His love is key to launching the love revolution that will release you to take your place in the coming revival.

Even now, the Lord is releasing a "quickening anointing" to those who have been crying out for revival and those who seem to have lost their vision and passion as the years and tears of life have weighed them down. You will carry a new anointing. But first – you are in need of the quickening anointing that will revive you. Then, fresh vision, authority and anointing will enable you to carry out your assignments and fulfill your destiny.

"The quickening anointing" will restore individuals to their sacred destiny and accelerate their gifts and anointing. To "quicken" means a reviving, a refreshing, an increasing of life (see Psalm 71:20; 85:6; 119:37,40,88; Isaiah 57:10). It often has reference to the resurrection from the dead (see 1 Corinthians 15:36).

Many in mid-life feel dead to dreams, visions and passion. It takes a supernatural impartation of the quickening spirit to release you from the spirit of this world. Position yourself to receive it. Cry out for it as you lie down in your home and soak in worship. Cry out for a quickening of your spirit and a fresh love revolution to begin with you.

James W. Goll: 12 Scriptures for 2012 & Beyond

Written by Lawrence Zolnowski

James W. GollI believe it is the year of the Word of the God and God of the Word! It is a time when the office of the teacher (Ephesians 4:11) or the teaching gift of the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:7) will be re-emphasized in the Body of Christ. It is a time when a convergence of the School of the Word and the School of the Spirit takes place. That is why I released a Bible reading program at the first of the year. It's never too late to participate!

With this conviction in mind, I went to prayer and asked the Lord for Scriptures for 2012. To my delight, I felt the Holy Spirit highlight the following 12 Scriptures for 2012 and beyond, all with the address of 20:12, 10:12, 12:12 or 12:20. I hope you enjoy this innovative way of gleaning from the Word of God.

1. Exodus 20:12"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you." We must cultivate a culture of HONOR! Everyone wins and the supernatural flows freely in such an atmosphere!

2. Proverbs 20:12"The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the LORD has made both of them." Communion with God, including a greater diversity in the prophetic, will be welcomed as there is an increase in both the seer and hearer anointings.
